Dr. Saumya Prasad is a dedicated obstetrician, gynecologist, and fertility specialist with a passion for women’s health and a track record of excellence across clinical care, education, and community service. A proud alumna of DPS R.K. Puram, she pursued her MBBS from VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, one of Asia’s largest hospitals, known for handling the highest number of outpatient consultations and deliveries. Dr. Saumya chose to specialize in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Safdarjung, where she gained extensive experience managing high-risk pregnancies, complex cesarean sections, and normal deliveries, experience from handling more than 2000 deliveries.
Her passion for fertility and assisted reproduction led her to complete a senior residency in IVF at Maulana Azad Medical College and Lok Nayak Hospital, where she was part of an elite team performing over 50 IVF pickups monthly. Dr. Saumya has personally conducted more than 1500 oocyte retrievals and 1,000 IUIs, helping countless couples realize their dream of parenthood.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Saumya Prasad is deeply committed to community health. She is the founder of SUBHA, an initiative dedicated to improving women’s health, menstrual hygiene awareness, and adolescent education. Through SUBHA, she has conducted multiple awareness camps, distributed sanitary pads to underprivileged women, and actively promoted menstrual hygiene across rural and urban underserved areas.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, she also spearheaded the distribution of free CBSE textbooks to children from low-income families, reaffirming her belief that good health and education go hand in hand.
As a mother of a young son, Dr. Saumya Prasad understands the joys, fears, and challenges of pregnancy and motherhood at a deeply personal level. This lived experience reflects in her care—marked by compassion, patience, and emotional connection. She treats each woman not just as a patient, but as someone whose journey she shares—with the same sincerity and sensitivity she would offer to her own.
Dr. Saumya Prasad holds an ICOG certification in Reproductive Medicine and has undergone a rigorous three-year senior residency focused exclusively on IVF and infertility — a super-specialization that reflects her deep expertise in assisted reproduction. She is also trained in advanced gynecological surgeries, holding both a Diploma and a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery. Blending clinical excellence with visionary leadership, Dr. Saumya Prasad is an executive alumni of the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM Kozhikode), where she completed a specialized program in Healthcare Management and Artificial Intelligence. Her multidisciplinary background allows her to offer not only evidence-based fertility care but also patient-centric solutions that align with modern innovations in women’s health.
